Sometimes the best weekends are the simple ones — the kind where you escape the noise, breathe in fresh air, and do a whole lot of nothing (in the best way). Out Cozy Getaway to Wimberley Texas
We took a little road trip to Wimberley, Texas last fall and it was exactly what I didn’t know I needed. We were there to celebrate a friend’s wedding, and let me just say — the venue was stunning. Nestled in the Hill Country with dreamy golden light and nature all around, it was the kind of setting that made the whole evening feel magical.
Love, laughter, dancing under the stars — it was such a joy to be there.
After the wedding festivities, we checked into a charming little cabin (Postcard Cabin- previously Getaway) tucked into the trees — peaceful, quiet, and just rustic enough to make it feel like a proper escape. The best part? The cabin was fully stocked with everything we needed: a fire pit, a grill, even supplies for making s’mores! Morning coffee on the porch felt extra special, and evenings by the fire were the coziest way to wind down.
The next day, we headed into downtown Wimberley, and it truly stole my heart. The little downtown park is filled with beautiful trees, winding paths, and incredible local sculptures and artwork — it felt like a hidden creative haven. We strolled through the park, admired the art installations, and popped into a few of the local cafés and boutiques that lined the streets. There’s just something about the laid-back, artsy energy that makes you want to linger a little longer.
And of course — pizza. Because no day trip is complete without something delicious. We grabbed a cozy booth at a local spot and shared a perfectly cheesy pie and salad. Simple. Satisfying. Just right.
